Immediate opening: groundsman (Colorado)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundsman in Kiowa County, Colorado. You will work in a public park. Your main tasks: • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs Ideal candidate: • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish 3+ years on the tools preferred.
