Rebar installer • Wabash County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rebar installer in Wabash County, Illinois. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Requirements: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Pay around $3,900 per month, based on your experience.
