Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Mingo County, West Virginia. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off.
