Crane rigger — Craighead County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a crane rigger in Craighead County, Arkansas. You will work in a steel fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Day-to-day duties: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Read lift plans and method statements before starting Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
