Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Waseca County, Minnesota. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. You should have: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
