Turning centre operator — Greene County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Greene County, Virginia. You will work in a job-work machining unit. Day to day you will measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; load and index turning tools in the turret; write and edit G-code programs at the control; run first-off inspection and sign off the part; read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes. What we are looking for: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
