Metal caster wanted in Perkins County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Perkins County, South Dakota. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
