Horizontal milling machine operator — Grant County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Grant County, Oklahoma. You will work at a fabrication and machining plant. The role involves set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Rotating shifts. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
