Now hiring: lathe programmer-operator (Tennessee)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Smith County, Tennessee. You will work in a job-work machining unit. Your main tasks: • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $3,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
