Rigger — Jefferson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a rigger in Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. You will be based on an offshore oil and gas platform. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
