Vacancy available: we are hiring a rigger in Gratiot County, Michigan. You should have: • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear The role involves set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
