Immediate opening: single needle operator (Texas)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a single needle operator in Mitchell County, Texas. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance The role involves: • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line We offer $5,000 per month plus benefits.
