Gtaw welder — Boone County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Boone County, Illinois. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
