Immediate opening: argon welder (New Mexico)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Torrance County, New Mexico. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Your main tasks: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Rotating shifts.
