Foundry labourer — Chesterfield County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Chesterfield County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. $30 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
