Now hiring: we are hiring a construction helper in Gulani, Yobe State. The job is with a civil contractor. Your main tasks: • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Stack and store materials safely to avoid wastage What we are looking for: • Able to lift and carry heavy loads such as 50 kg cement bags all day • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Physically fit and comfortable working at height Overtime paid at a premium rate.
