Elevator technician • Washoe County, Nevada

Great opportunity: we are hiring an elevator technician in Washoe County, Nevada. You will be based on a high-rise construction site. Ideal candidate: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • Valid driving licence for site call-outs • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Day-to-day duties: • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork • Top up the oil and bleed the cylinder on hydraulic lifts • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands Full-time with occasional weekends.
