Milling machine operator wanted in Logan County

Join our team: we are hiring a milling machine operator in Logan County, Arkansas. You will be based in a toolroom. Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Your main tasks: • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges 4+ years on the tools preferred.
