Immediate opening: cnc turner (Virginia)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a cnc turner in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. The job is in a tool room. What we are looking for: • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection On the job you will handle: • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Load and index turning tools in the turret Six days a week, one day off.
