Great opportunity: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Washington County, Maine. The job is at a plant nursery. The role involves lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease. You should have: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. $5,250 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
