Vacancy available: we are hiring a steam press operator in Logan County, Ohio. You will work in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Part-time with flexible hours.
