Gang bricklayer • Houston County, Alabama

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Houston County, Alabama. You will work on a scaffolded high-rise site. Day-to-day duties: • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters You should have: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks We offer $3,500 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
