Vacancy available: lift installation engineer (England)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a lift installation engineer in Essex, England. The job is in a residential tower block. On a typical shift you will set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; mount and align landing doors, sills and car door operators; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; carry out planned preventive maintenance and grease the guide shoes. What we are looking for: • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work Part-time with flexible hours.
