Furnace operator — Delta County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Delta County, Colorado. On the job you will handle: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
