Sample machinist — Sabuwa

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a sample machinist in Sabuwa, Katsina State. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On a typical shift you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. You should have: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching Rotating shifts.
