Great opportunity: we are hiring a tig welder in Willacy County, Texas. The role involves weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
