Shakeout operator wanted in Logan County

Join our team: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Logan County, Ohio. The role involves inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
