Immediate opening: brickwork mason (Iowa)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Cedar County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
