Ladle pourer — Oju

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Oju, Benue State. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity 3+ years on the tools preferred.
