Great opportunity: we are hiring a counter butcher in Kent County, Texas. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths On a typical shift you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; season and marinate meat on request; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,700 per month, based on your experience. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends.
