Mason's helper wanted in Wabaunsee County

Day to day you will dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; bend and tie rebar with binding wire for slabs and columns. You should have: • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker 4+ years on the tools preferred.
