Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane operator in Charles City County, Virginia. Day to day you will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL); watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Understanding of hand and radio signals Full-time, day shift.
