Great opportunity: we are hiring a crawler dozer operator in Bridgend county borough, Wales. You will work at a civil contractor's yard. The role involves grade and level subgrade for roads, pads and platforms; rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank; cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes; follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels; strip topsoil and stockpile it for later reuse; carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels £3,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
