GTAW welder • Morris County, Texas

Vacancy available: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Morris County, Texas. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 2+ years on the tools preferred.
