Urgent requirement: crawler crane operator (Indiana)

Join our team: we are hiring a crawler crane operator in Hamilton County, Indiana. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. Day-to-day duties: • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Strong attention to safety and load limits At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $240 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
