Site safety steward — Cherokee County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a site safety steward in Cherokee County, Alabama. You will be based in a warehouse and logistics yard. Requirements: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Day to day you will check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
