Bar bender and fixer — Calhoun County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Calhoun County, Michigan. Day-to-day duties: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Rotating shifts.
