Fabricator-welder — Union County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Union County, Florida. You will be based on an industrial construction site. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
