We are recruiting: turning centre operator (Illinois)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Greene County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Day to day you will top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; load and index turning tools in the turret; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; write and edit G-code programs at the control; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish. Ideal candidate: • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code Full-time with occasional weekends.
