We are recruiting: blocklayer (Kano State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Gwale, Kano State. The role involves raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Part-time with flexible hours.
