CNC programmer-operator — Jefferson Davis County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a CNC programmer-operator in Jefferson Davis County, Mississippi. You will be based in a toolroom. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Day to day you will select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter.
