MIG/MAG welder — Jackson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Jackson County, Kansas. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. You will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness. You should have: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes We offer $4,400 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided.
