Now hiring: press machine operator (England)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press machine operator in Peterborough, England. You will work in a sheet metal stamping unit. Day to day you will clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting; carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor; deburr and stack finished components for the next operation. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Part-time with flexible hours. £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
