TIG welder — Franklin County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a TIG welder in Franklin County, Tennessee. Day to day you will TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run. Ideal candidate: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Full-time, day shift.
