Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Rock County, Minnesota. The job is on an offshore oil and gas platform. Your main tasks: • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift What we are looking for: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles Pay around $4,400 per month, based on your experience.
