Hoist operator — Edgefield County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a hoist operator in Edgefield County, South Carolina. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. What we are looking for: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Current medical and eyesight certificate You will grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL). 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
