Immediate opening: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Rooks County, Kansas. You will be based on a housing development site. What we are looking for: • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat Day to day you will clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; work safely around buried services with a banksman or spotter. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
