Join our team: we are hiring a single needle operator in Piatt County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line What we are looking for: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
