Lifting rigger • Nolan County, Texas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Nolan County, Texas. You will work at a container port. Day-to-day duties: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area Ideal candidate: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
