Formwork carpenter • Albemarle County, Virginia

Immediate opening: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Albemarle County, Virginia. You will work on a bridge and flyover project. Requirements: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Day-to-day duties: • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • De-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured • Erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb 3+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,500 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
